Quilt + Embroidery

I have recently become obsessed with embroidery- how else to explain the number of threads I have collected in 3 months?

Etobicoke Quilters Guild had a challenge.. something that brings you joy. Well, I love everything about Christmas.. the colours, the lights, everything. So I decided to make a wall hanging of a Christmas ornament, and decorate the background with embroidery. I’ll be showing it in the challenge, but am looking forward to having it hang in my living room during the holiday season.

I did get sore fingers pushing the needle through the top, batting and backing, but it seemed worth it. So happy with the results.
