I made a tumbler quilt a while ago to mimic skyline of mountains. In my mind I envisaged the mountains in China..
Here is a photo of the completed quilt..

This was not quite what Imagined…. but the other night, sitting in a darkened room, I looked at the quilt, hanging on wall 20 feet away. The low light captured the quilt I was trying to make… more subtle and mysterious. Can you see the difference? I am so happy now!

This quilt will be on display at the Etobicoke Quilters Guild quilt show March 28 & 29th along with two of my other quilts.
I made another scrappy quilt- using some of my pile of orphan blocks. That will be my second quilt of display at Etobicoke Quilters Guild show later this month. I’ll share photos in a separate post.
And the final quilt I will have on display in the show is a quilt designed by Jen Kingwill’s Halo Quilt. I rarely make a quilt based on other people’s ideas, but the pattern really drew me in. There is so much scope to make this quilt your own, and the scrappiness really called to me.
