I belong to York Heritage Quilters Guild in Toronto. It is a fun guild, with lots of great members and an amazing roster of speakers and workshops. An important part of what they do is donating quilts to needy organizations through Community Quilts. Quilts go to women’s support groups, programs for newly arrived immigrants, and more. I have also given quilts away to other groups in need- eg, to Japan after the 2011 Fukushima crisis, although I have forgotten to take photos of some of those.
